At first I thought I had mistakenly ordered a sample of black velvet, it's THAT dark! But then when you move it in the light - oh! My dream is to use it someday to make Arwen's "Blood Red Dress" from Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (the dark blue dress with the long red sleeves). I think it'd be perfect!

I just ordered a swatch and was blown away. The color is stunning and lives up to its name. This is also the most beautiful velvet , the hand of the fabric is so lovely. I will for sure be ordering more then a swatch in the future.
