A dark grey with dimension

I had a swatch of gargoyle. I knew it was the color I needed BUT when it got here oh my goodness! It has this great undertone of deep deep purple that gives it a wonderful depth that you only see when looking at yardage. The undertone doesn't detract from the overall dark grey of gargoyle.

I was looking for a color that wasn't black but wasn't exactly purple - gargoyle leaned into that perfectly. It isn't black but it isn't purple, it's a black-purple that is going to play with the purples I already had nicely

Unexpected beauty

I originally thought this was a flat charcoal grey, but it has a slight purple sheen that I cannot be mad at. I plan to make this into a ribbon skirt for my graduation.

Great 'off black'

I had read reviews and was worried that this would look washed out--far from it! Think of a grey purple that has so much saturation it approaches black in dark lighting, but highlights nicely in natural light.
