This very special gingham is comprised of cream, mint green, and sky blue, and is a throwback to a time when life for many Americans was dusty, homespun, rural, and often difficult.  As a result, we've chose to name this unique silk in honor of the great American author John Steinbeck, who repeatedly wove the important - and timely- themes of this challenging era into masterpieces like The Grapes of Wrath, East of Eden, and Of Mice and Men.
