This two-toned silk, comprised of honey and dark brown, is named after the apple brandy that hails from the Normandy region of France! A well-made calvados is reminiscent of apples and pears, balanced with flavors from the aging process. A younger calvados distinguishes itself with a bright, fresh flavor - the nose and palate are balanced with butterscotch, nut, and chocolate aromas. Later, as the brew ages, it becomes golden or even dark brown with orange elements - just like this luscious silk!
