LINCOLN GREEN gets its name from Lincoln, a medieval English city famous for producing a rich green wool cloth dyed by layering yellow over blue. The shade became strongly associated with hunters, foresters, and especially Robin Hood and his Merry Men, who were traditionally depicted wearing it in Sherwood Forest. Over time, “Lincoln green” evolved from the name of a specific textile into the name of the muted woodland-green color itself.

This beautiful solid green batiste feels airy yet quietly martial, its soft woodland hue drifting through the fabric like filtered light beneath ancient forest canopies.

Batiste, also known as voile, is super soft to the touch, yet is very breathable. Perfect as a lining! Fiber content: 60% cotton / 40% silk.
