aeolus

AEOLUS was the ruler and keeper of the winds in Greek mythology, entrusted by the gods to command the four directional winds that govern the weather and seas. Best known from The Odyssey, he gave Odysseus a bag containing the unruly winds, but his crew unknowingly released them, blowing their fleet far off course. Today, Aeolus remains a poetic symbol of the wind, storms, and the untamed forces of nature, with the term aeolian still used to describe landscapes sculpted by the wind.

This shimmery stone gray-and-pale dark brown taffeta evokes the ever-shifting spirit of Aeolus, with ripples suggesting dark winds that push the wearer toward a mysterious, unknown destination…
