American NEWPORT style is a refined East Coast coastal aesthetic inspired by the historic seaside estates of Newport, Rhode Island, that blend New England maritime tradition with Gilded Age elegance. It is characterized by crisp white interiors, blue-toned palettes, polished wood, brass accents, tailored upholstery, and an atmosphere of understated yacht-club sophistication. Compared to more casual tropical coastal styles, Newport interiors feel cooler, more architectural, and distinctly rooted in classic American heritage.

So how did we choose these colors? We decided to centrifuge our popular Windswept dupioni into its constutuent sky blue and arctic white colors! Together, they capture the nautical elegance of American Newport style, combining sunlit coastal freshness with the refined yet understated sophistication of an East Coast seaside estate. So, in essence, this is “striped” Windswept dupioni!
